Application/Key learning points: This video shows a presentation given by G. Clayton Grigg, the chief knowledge officer of the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) during the 2012 KMWorld Conference. In the presentation, Grigg outlines the FBI approach to knowledge management, which is “all about outcomes”. He explains how the FBI must always be a learning organisation, and details some of the challenges it faces. He discusses a number of knowledge management initiatives, including a federal knowledge management community, an annual knowledge week, knowledge brokering, a knowledge management awards program, special projects and mobile knowledge.
