Description: The Natural Step (TNS) is a Swedish environmental education organisation that is committed to creating operational strategies with business leaders that affect both environmental and economic issues. TNS was created in 1989 by Karl-Henrik Robert who was concerned by the sustainability debate's tendency to focus on environmental symptoms rather than addressing causes. He defined principles based upon the law of nature that would provide a framework to understand and model sustainability. Principles are;
