Research study: Training & development programme delivery shifting to in-house


A 2009 survey by HR Focus examined how organisations were conducting training. Responses revealed that there was a growth in the use of in-house training to 59.8% from 51.8% in 2008, except in smaller organisations (up to 50 employees) where in-house training fell from 45.7% in 2008 to 37.1%. Other findings included:
1. Organisations used webcasts, Web conferences, and webinars, (84%); traditional classroom instruction (82%); self-study with books, magazines, and other non-electronic training (70%).
