It was realised that programmes needed to be adapted to better fit with Asian/Chinese cultural expectations. The HKDL staff’s "aggressive friendliness" was liked by some guests but others were offended by it. The HKDL team set to work to identify leadership behaviours that were valued by Disney and acceptable within the local context.
