In 2004 the US FBI took E-learning to a new level by developing an E-learning course on information security which was taken by the FBI’s entire staff of 30,000 in only two weeks. 2,500 E-learning courses are offered through the bureau’s Virtual Academy which was set up because funds were not available to offer the courses without using E-learning.
