The group personnel director of British Telecommunication (BT) gave a speech at the 1997 IPD annual conference in Harrogate. He reported that BT’s management had revised a company statement on equality and diversity to its workforce. The new statement was communicated to all employees in team meetings, via the company’s magazine on policy and administration - People News and the internal staff newspaper - 'BT Today'....
