Social networking connects disparate employees
Best Buy Stores, a US Retail Chain, used social networking to connect its disparate employees. In 2006 the company launched a corporate-sponsored network called "Blue Shirt Nation." The network connected employees from its many retail outlets who were enabled to share information and ask questions of one another.
