Hill Country Memorial (HCM), a US community hospital and winner of the 2014 Baldrige National Quality Award, used employee trust in leadership as a key indicator of ethical behaviour. From 2010 to 2014, HCM performed at the 89th percentile of its peer group and outperformed 82% of Baldrige recipient hospitals in the Baldrige peer group. In 2013 HCM employee trust in leadership was 82% against the top 10% benchmark of 80%. In 2014 HCM was at 81%, equal to the top 10% benchmark....
