Value Engineering application leads to significant cost reductions in building project

When a US construction company won a bid for the building of a new 30,000 sq ft bank project it worked with the building design team to produce a list of value engineering (VE) options and other cost saving changes. A work breakdown structure (WBS) was produced that revealed numerous areas where savings could be achieved.
