Application/Key learning points: Attempts to measure the quality of physician-staffed EMS are rare. The aim of this fascinating eight-page study was to develop a set of quality indicators for international physician-staffed EMS to allow quality improvement initiatives. This research article studies the Scandinavian EMS and identifies 26 quality indicators, of which 15 are response-specific quality indicators and 11 are system-specific quality indicators.
