The Zairi International Awards for Excellence in Higher Education 2022 inaugural edition are open now for entries to higher education institutions from across the globe. The Awards is an annual competition honouring excellence and innovation in higher education in specific areas pertinent to digital transformation, research, service to the community, etc. The Awards are managed and assessed by a team of renowned international experts that serve on its Executive Committee, Assessment Committee and Jury.
The last two years has caused unprecedented turmoil and sadness for many families. Over five million people have died due to Covid, and many more millions have had their health compromised or their livelihoods jeopardised. A huge loss for the benchmarking community has been the passing of Professor Mohamed Zairi after a spirited fight against Covid. Mohamed died aged 65 in October 2021. Mohamed has been a thought leader in the quality profession for over 35 years. His strength has been to have a broad-based view of quality and a deep understanding of current business trends and challenges from which he can prescribe relevant and often innovative quality-based solutions.
A Happy New Year from the Global Benchmarking Network & Invitation to Participate in the Global Benchmarking Award 2022
Watch Global Benchmarking Network (GBN) members from around the world share their happy new year wishes and best practices tips to the community. The GBN promotes Benchmarking through different initiatives, such as funding research studies, organising international conferences, and the Global Benchmarking Award. The award encourages organisations to share how benchmarking (comparing and learning from others) is an integral part of their improvement and innovation drive.
The book Achieving Performance Excellence Through Benchmarking and Organisational Learning is a joint publication by the Dubai Government Excellence Program and the Centre for Organisational Excellence Research (COER). The book describes 10 TRADE Best Practice Benchmarking projects that were undertaken as part of DGEP’s 3rd Cycle of Dubai We Learn.
The International Best Practice Competition (IBPC) encourages organizations to share their best operational and managerial practices, processes, systems, and initiatives and learn from the experience of others. Every organisation has some good or great practices – what are yours?
Whilst winners of the award are likely to have jaw-dropping “best practices” rated as 7 ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ we encourage entries showcasing practices at a range of standards to facilitate learning and the strengthening of practices – it is a wonderful learning opportunity obtaining feeedback from judges and listening to best practice presentations from other organisations.
