Winner of the 3rd Organisation-Wide Innovation Award 2021: Dubai Municipality – Shaping the Future of Public Governance
In May 2021, Dubai Municipality won the coveted 3rd Organisation-wide Innovation Award for its exemplary ideas and innovation management (Fig 1). With 12,000 employees and workers, Dubai Municipality has excelled in inculcating a culture of innovation across 6 vital sectors and 175 public services.
For its best practice of “Introduction of a Mobile Practice – Portable Plasma Collection“, New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS) was the proud recipient of the 2nd New Zealand Best Practice Competition Award, held on 10 May 2021 in Wellington at the New Zealand Business Excellence Conference (Fig 1). Established in 1998, NZBS has 673 employees across New Zealand.
Held in May 2021, the 7th International Best Practice Competition announced Dubai Police as one of the winners for the exceptional outcomes of their project Safe Bags – Accuracy and Efficiency of Airport Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) System. Dubai Airports, the world’s busiest international passenger airport, handled and secured 31,093,870 bags in 2018.
For its remarkable benchmarking project ‘The Way Beyond Traditional Procurement’, Dubai Municipality won the 7th International Best Practice Competition held in May 2021 (Fig 1). Dubai Municipality were one of five winners at the competition for its best practice in the planning and implementation of a digitized and agile procurement process to improve efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and productivity, and overall satisfaction.
