A 2009 study into the impact of recession on employers by Families and Work Institute survey of 400 employers with 50 or more employees revealed that: 1. 66% of employers had experienced declining revenues over the past 12 months, another 28% reported that revenues had held more or less steady, and only 6% had experienced growth. 3. 77% had reduced or controlled costs during the recession and 90% of those who had experienced lower revenues had taken steps to reduce labour and operational costs. ...
