In 1996 a survey targeted at all companies listed in a Hong Kong stock exchange was held to assess the application rate of 25 activities in quality improvement. The respondent rate was 20% (59 out of 294). PDCA cycle were used by 53% of the responding organisations and was the sixth most frequently used activity. The top five activities were brainstorming, control chart, cause-and-effect diagram, histogram and flowchart, their popularity rates were 64%, 58%, 56%, 56% and 56% respectively....
