Statistical Process Control: Practice in New Zealand companies
In 1997 a 'Best Practice' survey of over 1400 companies across New Zealand was carried out. Results indicated that 76% of companies with more than 40 full time employees used some form of SPC in their manufacturing processes. Those companies with less than 40 full time employees had 57% take up of this production quality technique. This figure varied to 68% in multi-site companies and 59% in single location companies, 67% in exporters and 58% in non-exporters....
