Event Details
This engaging webinar brings together people with disability, and advocacy leaders to explore how inclusive engagement in the audit process can lead to safer, fairer, and higher-quality services.
We ask the question: how can service providers, including NDIS providers, engage people with disability in assessing the quality of their services. We will be exploring this topic in discussion with three disability advocacy organisations.
Hosted by Dr Grazia Catalano, of Grazia Catalano Consulting Pty Ltd, the session features a diverse panel [VALID, Victoria; ADA Australia (Aged and Disability Advocates), Queensland; and DDWA (Developmental Disability WA) Western Australia] - including people with disability and representatives from disability representative bodies and advocacy organisations.
The event will open with an introduction to the Australian Organisation for Quality (AOQ), outlining its role, value, and relevance to the disability services sector.
Webinar participants will gain practical insights into:
- How participant engagement during audits can strengthen accountability and drive service improvement across the disability sector.
- Suggested system improvements to achieve meaningful participant engagement during audits and contribute to stronger participant perspectives in audit findings.
